Server Setup
1. Insert Server Base Image microSD card in the Raspberry Pi.
2. Connect Keyboard and Monitor to the server temporarily.
3. Connect power to server and let it boot up.
4. From the console (keyboard and monitor), log in with the following credentials:
  - Login: pi
  - Password: V^hb*6VY*Ds=D4Xa
5. Enter the following commands:
  - sudo ./factoryreset Site#
6. Write down the passwords generated by the factoryreset script.

Set the server date and time by typing:
- sudo date –s “mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm am/pm”
Reboot the system by typing:

sudo reboot

Disconnect the monitor and keyboard. The server is now set up.

Local Site Configuration:
1. When the server comes up, connect a laptop (recommended) or cell phone to the “JackpotBoard” Wi-Fi hotspot using the password created during server setup.
  
  If you have previously connected to a different jackpot board, you may need to have your device “forget” that connection.
2. Use a web browser to connect to the sign at:
  - http://192.168.63.1:63180
    
    Use the web user name and password created by the server setup process.
    
    The first connection after the server boots can take up to a minute; subsequent connections will be much faster.

Verify that the System Configuration is set for “Standalone” operation and the Base URL is set to:
- http://192.168.64.1:63181/jackpotboard
Use the “Sites” function to enter the site name and number into the local database on the server.

Once a site is entered, the sign is locked into standalone mode and the system configuration and site information can no longer be changed.
(Optional) Set up the colors and graphics and enter the initial jackpots, if that’s something you’re doing.

Click on “Publish to Sign”. (Note, the sign does not need to be connected. “Publish to Sign” simply creates a set of XML on the live area of the server. The sign will automatically retrieve these approximately once per minute whenever it is running

Sign Setup
1. Insert Sign Base Image microSD card
2. Connect a Cat-5 Ethernet cable directly from the server to the sign controller.
3. Connect a monitor to the sign
4. Connect power to the sign and let it boot. The sign will boot directly into the Jackpot Board program. This may take a few minutes.

Note: The sign downloads its configuration from the server. If the server is not configured correctly, if may be necessary to re-flash the sign, or put a new Base Image microSD card in it.
